Your horoscope is a map of the
sky as seen from your place of birth at the moment you were born. The
upper semi-circle is the sky overhead, while the lower semi-circle is
the sky underneath the Earth at that time. The line dividing them is
the horizon – and you are in the middle being born!
Dotted around the edge are the Sun, Moon and other planets, situated in the same Zodiac areas as they were when you were born.
Some signs are more important than others. In anyone’s birth-chart the most significant are the Sun-sign, Moon-sign and the sign coming up at the eastern horizon. This is known as the Ascendant or the Rising Sign.
