As random as the
Tarot, the I Ching is based on the tossing of two hexagonal pieces of
metal. How they land determines which section of the I Ching applies to
your predicament. The words of the I Ching, translated from the ancient
Chinese, are vague, poetic and very difficult to interpret. The theory
behind the I Ching and, presumably, the Tarot is that whatever turns up
must be significant because we are mentally tuning in to the Infinite
at the time we consult them.
